About
Rooted in Craft: Developmental Editing for Novels helps aspiring and committed novelists develop story foundations that readers feel in their bones. Designed for authors seeking Developmental Editing guidance, Book Coaching support, and a clearer revision path, this course blends story principles with practical techniques from Christa Vande Vegte’s StoryCoaching practice. You’ll learn how to diagnose your novel’s core needs (structure, character, scenes, pacing, and narrative clarity), create actionable revision plans, and craft higher-impact rewrites without losing your author voice. By the end, you’ll leave with a developmental edit checklist, a targeted revision roadmap, and concrete strategies to strengthen your draft’s Bloom—so your manuscript moves from “almost there” to “ready to share.”
