Books, Books, Books! Which One to Choose?

Updated: Mar 31, 2023

I absolutely love to get lost in a good book, be it any genre.

I started out as a kid reading "Charlotte's Web," "Stuart Little," "Heidi," and the Little House series. Moving up to historical fiction in middle school like the book "Caroline" by Willo Davis Roberts. At that time, I also remember reading the book "Tiger Eyes" by Judy Blume. Going into adulthood, I read Sydney Sheldon, Nicholas Sparks, and random historical fiction novels. However, now I really like an excellent Young Adult Fiction book. Books like The Hunger Games series, Maze Runner series, Divergent series, and Harry Potter Series, of course. Along with great books by J.R.R. Tolkein and Ranson Riggs.

I recently started The Touch of Frost series by Lynn Rush, and finished the first book, "Frostbite," which I absolutely loved and can't wait to start the second, "Absolute Zero."

When my kids were old enough to tell them bedtime stories, I fell in love with my old-time favorites again, narrating the characters with silly voices and giving the plot and characters a little bit of my own flair.

Needless to say, when the kids heard a particular book at school, they would come back home and tell me that the story I read to them was way different than what their teacher read. These books included, "Trumpet of the Swans," "Stuart Little," and newer books like "The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane" to name a few.

I will soon be adding posts to my blog on what I am currently reading. I will do my best to keep you up to date on my reading list, along with my thoughts and reviews.

Happy reading!
